Other Shells

Any new shell should handle at least the following issue for most secure operations:
Windows logo key - Display or hide the Start menu
Windows logo key+L - Lock the computer
Windows logo key+BREAK Display the System Properties dialog box
Windows logo key+D Show the desktop
Windows logo key+M Minimize all windows
Windows logo key+SHIFT+M Restore minimized windows
Windows logo key+E Open My Computer
Windows logo key+F Search for a file or folder
CTRL+Windows logo key+F Search for computers
Windows logo key+F1 Display Windows Help
Windows logo key+R Open the Run dialog box
Windows logo key+U Open Utility Manager
F3 -Find

Current possible solutions
Name URL Cost Notes
Wez's Evil Shell http://evildesk.netevil.org/docs.php Free ctrl-alt-delete still brings up task manager and a new task can be started
Group Policy Editor gpedit.msc Free ??
Secure Desktop http://www.visualautomation.com/securedesktop/index.html $195 (1), $700 (5) Looks like it would do it but expensive
GeoShell? v4.11 http://www.geoshell.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3&Itemid=9 free?? limited data
NextSTART? by Winstep http://www.winstep.net/ $49/ea This would do it.
XP Security Shell http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_securityconsole.htm $50/site This might do it. Need testing
System Administrator http://www.softheap.com/secagent.html $49 -discounts Looks like it could work

Add-on Programs
http://www.freewarehome.com/System_Utilities/Security/Computer_Access_Management_t.html See below for programs found
S Lock (freeware) http://support.it-mate.co.uk/?mode=Products&act=DL&p=slock
Taskbar (freeware) Appears that f3 will still allow searching. http://support.it-mate.co.uk/?mode=Products&act=DL&p=slock

Other Notes

I did find one use net entry that said to change your shell to whatever program you want to use as the only program. I'm unsure of this (needs to be tested) due to ctl-alt-delete and also what about logging off, must be maintained by program?? which is a possiblity.
